Deregulation's Profits and Consumer Safety Can't Live Together .
Deregulation's Profits AND Consumer Safety are impossible to achieve .

Profiteering at the Utility Consumers' Expense in California and by Ford & Firestone show that "Deregulation" doesn't work.
Now, we have hundreds of deaths by gas-pipeline explosions that no one in the controlled Media has reported.
The airlines don't work anymore. The Telecom Industry's rates are climbing out of sight, despite their smoke & mirrors "Pricing Plans." Utility consumers, especially in San Diego, are ripped off for millions of dollars...we know one customer whose power usage went down, (they were on vacation !!) and their bill went up, from less than $150 to over $300. (Has anyone any recourse about "projected billings", when no meter-readers check our meters anymore?)
This proves that Corporate America will not work, for the people, (unless you're stockholders--who come first--ahead of customers and workers), without government oversight that enforces safe, quality service and utility values, instead of profits.
[Count the ways:Deregulation encourages Profiteering - ]
- Firestone and Ford knew the tires were unsafe but sold them anyway;
- Gas Pipeline accidents have been increasing since 1986, due to age-ing, high-pressure pipes' decomposing;(They increase profits, by not inspecting high-pressure pipelines, all around us, that they know are getting old;)
- Airlines cancel flights, if they are not full, and cause thousands of lost hours for passengers--(does anyone cost-out these lost hours? ....Millions of dollars of inconvenience and lost work;)
- Utility Rates in California sky rocket with Deregulation, forcing the State to step back in and regulate pricing; (A 40% Rollback on a 100% PLUS increase--who do you think they are fooling?)
- Check your telephone long distance billing !!! The first minute at regular rates, with operator assistance--(the way many senior citizens have to call, due to confusing, and often unintelligble, "voice recognition" dialing procedures--) --has gone to more than $11.00 a minute. You pay for "operator assistance" and, instead, get recordings at the exhorbitant rates.
- Have you checked your Cable-Monopoly bill? It's gone up more than 30% since Deregulation !! Where is the "deregulation for competition" savings?
This is not a co-incidence !!!!
WE ARE NOT VOTING...... and the Corporations and Lobbyists--The "New Robber Barons"-- are running away with our country.
