The International Hotel.
This famous landmark was hauled by wagon, piece by piece, from Virginia City, in 1863. A few, limited edition, framed, copper-lithographs, of famous artists, like Charles Russell, from originals that were owned by the hotel, when in Virginia City, were on sale here a few years ago. A few, lucky people were able to buy them at $10.00, each.

The famous Austin Landmark, The Tower.
Not far from town, this structure overlooks the Reese River, only a trickle, even in the "wet season."
In the 1860's, unscrupulous promoters sold "water-front" lots to buyers in the East.
