The Castle built in 1920-23, by Death Valley Scotty and his partner, Albert M. Johnson, a Chicago Insurance Magnate.
The guided tour of the interior of the castle is a "must see."

The Castle at night is a sight to behold.
The premiere national park in the Southwest, Death Valley Scotty gets most of that credit.

The Clock Tower gives a terrific view of the desert oasis. The cross on the hill marks Scotty's grave.

The State of California maintains this site in the north pass leading to Death Valley Junction in Nevada and to Beatty, NV.
