Reno Balloon Races
September's 8th thru 10th,

Forty four of the popular big racers have been entered, surpassing last year's field by eight. The 114 entries in the races include 22 Formula Ones, and 24 each of T-6's and Biplanes.
Only 90 of the fastest planes may qualify for the four days of races at the Reno-Stead Airport. In addition to the races and the air show they are focusing on the 50th Anniversary of the Air Force. They plan to display one of the largest groups of military bombers assembled since Worl War II.
For the first time, fans may buy tickets and pit passes by mail.
