The eastern slopes of the Humboldt Range makes the Old Pioneer Garden Country Inn an ideal location for the outdoors oriented family to enjoy a wonderful vacation.

Last year,Sandra Bullock, (pictured at left) rising to stardom after her role in "Speed", was with the group.
"She's just a nice girl, not like a movie star - which she certainly is now!," said Mitzi.
While in Unionville, Bullock and Warner execs (who included the likes of Sylvester Stallone's agent), enjoyed such pastimes as trying on hats from Mitzi's collection. Bullock fell in love with an old pail at the bed and breakfast and took it home with Mitzi's blessing.
The Jones began their B&B 15 years ago, after noticing that visitors to Unionville often explored until late in the day then wanted a place to spend the night. They started out renting rooms in their home, Talcot House, built in 1893, but have expanded to a complex of three houses. Today, most guests stay in Hadley House built in the last century and named after the town's blacksmith, Thomas Jefferson Hadley.
Breakfasts, the highlight of any B&B, often include fruits and berries from the Jones' property, as well as fresh eggs from their chickens. For more information about Old Pioneer Garden Country Inn, call (775)538-7583 or write Old Pioneer Garden, number 79, Unionville, NV 89445.
Take the Mill City/Unionville exit off Interstate 80 onto Nevada State
Highway 400. The road is paved up to the last three or four miles, then it
turns into a well-graded gravel road. Watch for the Unionville sign on your
right. The road travels directly west into the canyon. Unionville is about
150 miles east of Reno and takes approximately two and one-half to three
hours driving time. At publication, rates including breakfast are $65 per
room with shared bath, and $75 per room with private bath; dinner is
$7.50 per person. For reservations at the Old Pioneer Garden Inn, call (775)
538-7585.
